Red Light Therapy for your kids

At Become 100 we have a red-light room conducive to all ages. Whether your child sits in a stroller or jumps around in front of the lights with some sunglasses on (just to make sure it’s not too bright), the benefits will be received. Play a game to play to keep them occupied for 15 minutes. We just ask you to try to keep it a quiet game. We want all our guests to be comfortable.

Why should your kids try Red Light Therapy?

  1.  Mitochondria stimulation. Our bodies metabolize red and near infrared light into cellular energy – ATP which we need for good energy and health. It may also help with mitochondria dysfunction and combat effects of mold exposure.

2.     It helps produce melatonin – the hormone needed for us to fall asleep. Studies have shown that Red Light Therapy can assist our bodies in establishing a strong circadian rhythm.

3.     Reduce effects of screen time. Red light therapy may help counteract the blue light from devices that affect our eyes and provide brain balance.

4.    It may help with eczema. This therapy helps reduce skin inflammation by decreasing pro-inflammatory cytokines, substances that signal inflammation in the body. By reducing these inflammatory signals, red light therapy can alleviate the redness, swelling, and itching associated with eczema, providing relief to sufferers.

5.     Exposure to red light can have positive effects on mood and mental well-being. It can increase serotonin levels, often referred to as the “feel-good” hormone, which can help improve mood and potentially aid in managing conditions such as depression and anxiety.

6.     Preliminary research suggests that low-level red-light therapy may be safe and effective for treating myopia, but further investigation is necessary to determine the long-term effects on children, according to a review in Optometry and Vision Science.
